KidHQ | Walmart

Problem: The toy store as we know it has gone the way of the dinosaur. Moms are now shopping on e-commerce sites for everything, including toys. But while brick and mortar toy stores are shuttering, children’s imaginations aren’t. Walmart asked us to create a new place where kids and moms could spend time playing with and exploring toys, and talking about which toys to put on holiday wish lists.

Idea: KidHQ is a toy store with a different experience on each floor. There’s no limit on the number of floors KidHQ can hold. Each floor of KidHQ is a unique experience. Kids move between floors via the Funovator. The only goal is to create a toy report, which turns into a shopping list for parents. Thus kids are able to explore, discover and play with their favorite toys in a setting that inspires the same joy of a toy store, but ultimately culminates in a parent-friendly e-commerce experience. Results: Exceeded all KPI goals by Thanksgiving weekend (Oct 15 launch).
Nearly 90% of Toy Reports were sent to parents via the Grown Ups Only floor.
