Few months in the making, my second brush lettering workshop in finally here. When I started I never really thought about teaching because lettering was just my hobby. But as I kept doodling away more and more people reached out with questions. And now, I am glad I can share what I have learned with others.
When I was planning this workshop I wanted to make sure that it is different. I wanted to make it is affordable and inclusive. Lettering and calligraphy is not just for designers and artists, it is for everyone. The best part, it’s one of the most affordable ways to express your creativity (unless you get into collecting pens like me). As a co-founder of Ladies, Wine & Design, Brooklyn, my mission is to empower women as well as men to become better versions of themselves through education and mentorship. And this is how this workshop came to be. To make it truly affordable I not only donated a lot of my time to plan and prepare the workshop but I was also lucky enough to find amazing brands who believed in my mission. I am looking forward to this night when hopefully 15 more people will feel empowered to come out of their comfort zones and learn something new.
